Food Review: 136 Hong Kong Street Fish Head Steamboat
10:32:00The highly rated Tze char at Toa Payoh. 136 Hong Kong Street Fish Head Steamboat famous for their claypot mee tai mak, salted egg pork ribs and Fish Head Steamboat.
On a random friday, me and my friend decided to give this tze char stall a try and we try like it too.
The staff like so annoying, know that i a taking photo, the guy in the photo above just keep standing around there.. Haha.
Claypot Mee Tai Mak - $5
Delightful Claypot Mee Tai Mak. It does has the charm of “wok hei” , cut vegetables in every spoonful which provided the crunch factor, and very gooey gravy. The egg yolk enhanced the overall taste in it.
Taste: 3.5/5
Salted Egg Pork Ribs - $10
The next popular dish over here was the Salted Egg Pork Ribs. I find it very normal to me as the salted egg aroma wasn't that strong and the pork ribs texture was quite tough too. I will give a NO NO to this pork ribs.
Taste: 0.5/5
Sweet and Sour Century Egg - $6
Something unique that you will hardly find at other tze char stalls. The century egg is fried so that it has this crispy exterior. Eaten together with the appetizing sweet and sour sauce, it can really enhance your appetite.
Taste: 2.5/5
Overall experince:
Decent food and affordable for everyone. I will try the fish head steamboat when i visit again.
