Food Review: Xiang Ji Wanton Mee

10:28:00

Xiang Ji Wanton Mee is located at Hougang Steet 21, Blk 212 coffee shop. This wanton mee stall is my all time favourite to have to have my wanton mee fixed. This stall is getting more popular around hougang area. During dinner time, the queue is always long, and might need to queue for 30 minutes or longer.

Wanton Mee - $4

It came with roasted char siew, veggie, fried wanton, wanton, and noodles topped up with secret sauce.

The roasted char siew was cooked from the stretch by the chef. The char siew was tender and the savoury, the fatness of the meat was "SHIOK". The springy noodle was al-dente and chewy too. The secret sauce was fragrance and flavorful. The chilli give this wanton mee an extra punch.

Taste: 4.5/5

Spinach wanton noodle - $4

The spinach noodle is better than other wanton noodle stalls. I can taste a mild aroma of spinach in the noodle, and the noodle was springy and chewy.

Taste: 4.5/5

The soup is flavorful and not over salty too. Not like other wanton noodle stalls!! The wanton was fresh and the pork meat was soft and chewy.

Taste: 2/5
