JB Food Review: Restoran Kin Wah 锦华咖啡店

11:55:00

An old school eatery place called Restoran Kin Hua, it's located near city square jb. About 10 - 15 minute walk from city square jb to Restoran kin hua. This eatery place is strongly recommended by all my Malaysian and blogger friends.

This old school eatery place is famous for their toast, egg and fried bee hoon/mee siam. The place usually will be crowed in the morning! I went there on the weekend morning, and it was over-crowed by the local and Singaporean.

 Kopi -

Aromatic traditional kopi. Thick and smooth. The coffee bean they used are so different from our local.

Taste: 3.5/5

 Teh -

The tea tasted similar to Toastbox tea.

Taste: 2/5

 Kaya and Butter Toast -

Average kaya and butter toast.

Taste: 2/5

 Half Boiled Egg -

Fresh kampong eggs from Kin Hua.

Taste: 2/5

 Fried Mee Siam -

The fried mee siam was not like our local fried mee siam. Their fried mee siam was more spicy and flavorful than SG version. I don't mind going back just for their fried mee siam. I added sambal egg and curry vegetable. The sambal egg was really spicy, I am sure spicy lover will love this dish. The only thing that is disappointed was their curry vegetables, as the curry was on the bland side and the vegetable was too soggy!

Taste: 3.5/5

 Fried Mee Hoon -

The fried mee hoon surprising wasn't so oily. It was flavourful and soft. The fishball we added was normal factory make fishball.

Taste: 2/5

Food: 2/5
Ambience: Coffee shop ambience
Service: NA

Overall, nostalgic atmosphere and affordable price. Decent local malaysian cuisine. It's a good pl;ace to have ur breakfast in JB if you happen to be a JB.
