1. Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei.
Claypot Laska - $3.50 (Small)
The claypots laska come in three sizes – small, medium, large. The laska gravy was really thick, rich and filling. It is robust with savoury flavours, thanks to the coconut milk, chicken shreds and prawn. For the spiciness, it can be better!
Taste: 3.5/5
2. Lao Ban Zhai.
Roasted Duck Rice - $4
The duck meat was juicy and tender, it char-roasted to perfection. It was served de-boned and cut into thick slices. The sauce was thick and savory. But i feel that the sauce was just normal sauce compared to other roasted duck sauce.
Taste: 3.25/5
3. Dover Road Kai Kee Wanton Noodle.
Wanton Mee - $2.50
It was really cheap, you can hardly find any food that cost $2.50 nowadays. The portion was huge. The taste-wise, The noodles was slightly over cooked but it still had al dent feel and the noodle was well blended with the sauce and chilly. The chilli sauce wan't spicy at all and the char siew and wanton all was just average.
Taste: 1.5/5
4. Seng Heng Carrot Cake.
Carrot Cake - $2.50
The carrot cake was good. It has the right amounts of cai-por and seasoning, not too greasy too. The kuey was totally tender and moist. It's a must-try dish too.
Taste: 3/5
5. Mr Avocado.
Avocado - $3.
Avocado is known for so many health benefits, it has often been touted as the world's healthiest food.
The avocado milkshake here is a blended mixture of the fruit, fresh milk and evaporated milk.
