13:26:00Hokkien Prawn Mee is another Singaporean top favorite hawker dish. What's so special about it? Hokkien Prawn Mee is an simple yet challenging dish. You need to have a right amount of ingredients and well control of the wok.
This mouth-watering noodle dish – comprising yellow noodles and thick or thin 'bee hoon' (vermicelli) – has prawns, squid, pork belly strips, egg and crunchy fried pork lard, that makes everything taste marvelous. It is served with sambal chilli and a squeeze of lime juice for that extra punch.

1. Kim Keat Hokkien Mee.
Claypot Hokkien Mee with sio bak. Kim Keat is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Bradell MRT, in the same kopitiam as Ocean Curry Fish Head. This plate of hokkien prawn mee $15 was worth the try. The noodles and sauce could have been better ‘fused’ together as one. The Hokkien Mee was below our expectation, but certainly one worth trying. The sambal chilli was very good, must combine the sambal chilli with the noodle!!

This plate of Hokkien Prawn Mee $4 is not your standard fare, this version is light on the gravy and served with a mixture of thin yellow noodles and thick bee hoon. Before eating, make sure you mix the Sambal in and "toss" the noodles to capture all flavors.

The famous fried Hokkien noodles from Chomp Chomp Hawker Centre that everyone had been raving about. I really like this plate of hokkien prawn mee $4, loved the texture and flavor of the noodles. Not too dry or wet! Be prepare to wait for more than an hours for it.

4. Yi Ji Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodles.

This stall is located at the coffee shop where the famous punggol nasi lemak is located. This plate of hokkien prawn mee $4 is my favorite supper place too. The noodles was wet and fried in flavourful robust broth with that right amount of wok hei and balanced bee hoon to noodles. Spicy lover ALERT!! A big challenge for Chilli lover! If you love Chilli and you can take a lot of Chilli, this is probably one of the places you should go!
