Hawker Hopping: People's Park Complex Food Center x Hong Lim Market and Food Centre x Clementi 448 Market and Food Centre
12:17:00People's park complex food centre is one the many famous hawker centre in Singapore. Went have lunch with family on weekend afternoon.
1. Yong Xiang Xin Dou Fu.
Yong Tau Foo - $4
Run by a family of 5 brothers, this stall has been here for quite a number of years having passed from the hands of generations. The one unique thing about this stall is that they serve nothing else but a bowl of fixed ingredients - no carbs. They start business daily from 12pm depending and they finish by 4pm or when the food runs out.

2. Penang Kitchen.
Big Prawn Noodle - $4
It was an disappointing dish. Waste my time to quit for it!! The soup tasted awful. Ingredients not really fresh too.
Taste: 0/5
3. Ri Ri Hong Mala Hot Pot.
Mala Hot Pot - $15
This is the craze now over at People's park, every table has this big bowl of "mess". It might look like a mess of chili oil, it's really good! It's like how you eat Yong tau foo, you choose your ingredients and they will toss in the sauce and chili oil. You get to choose the level of "辣”, we usually go for ” Big Spiciness” to have a shiok feeling. It's $15 for such a huge bowl! Good for sharing.

Went to have chinatown again for lunch again with family on the following weekend!!
1. Heng Kee Curry Noodle.
Curry Noodle - $3
Heng Kee delivers satisfyingly thick curry gravy that carries their signature taste from a priceless age-old recipe. Served with generous portions of tau pok, chicken, fish cake and potato, this bowl of goodness will leave you slurping up every last drop.
Taste: 3/5
2. Crayfish and Prawn Noodle.
Crayfish Horfun - $6
Very smooth hor fun with extremely fresh crayfish and prawns. The chilli is good too! Worth the queue.
Taste: 2.5/5
3. Ji Ji Wanton Noodle Specialist.
Chicken Cutlet Noodle - $4
It's always a long queue here. Ji Ji had been nominated a local hawker favourite by many TV programmes and it's no wonder why. Their noodles are coated in a sauce that surprisingly smells like cai pok. Chicken cutlet was crispy and tender. And they weren't stingy with the pork Lard either. Oh, do remember to add a whole spoonful of Chilli cause it's just way too awesome.
Taste: 3.5/5
4. Outram Park Char Kway Tiao.
Char Kway Tiao - $2.50
The char kway teow here is coated in a sweet, special mixture of sauces and with noticeably more egg than elsewhere. Plump cockles, beansprouts and good ol' crunchy pork lard make this even better. Freshly fried, greasy char kway teow laden with wok hei.

Hawker Hopping, hop to west area!! Clementi hawker is full of good food!! Hopefully the queue is worth it!!
1. Hong Sheng Fish Soup.
Fish Soup - $4
The fish slices were amazingly fresh and crazily tender. The amount of tik poh added was just nice unlike the other stall which just had too much of it. The soup had a Shiok clean taste to it. Together with dipping the fish slices into their homemade chili sauce with ginger, I just simply mind blown.
Taste: 4/5
2. Kee Hock Hor Fun.
Beef Hor Fun - $4.50
Generous portions of tender beef with each ribbons of hor fun bursting with smoky flavours of wok hei.
Taste: 3.5/5
3. Snow Mount Char Kway Tiao.
Char Kway Tiao - $3
Nothing fantastic. It's just an normal char kway tiao.
Taste: 1/5
4. Fried Carrot Cake.
Black Carrot Cake - $3
The queue here at this stall are super long!! Queued for more than an hours for it. And i can say i will never queue again as it wasn't really worth the long hours of queue. The carrot cakes is soft, mushy, crisp and charred bits. They still use lard oil and fish sauce to fry, making it one of the more fragrant carrot cake in Singapore!
Taste: 3/5
5. Tanglin Halt Western Food.
Black Pepper Chicken Chop - $4.50
It stood out from the rest is their home-made sauces, which exists in the flavours of black pepper, a special rendition of tomato-based BBQ sauce, and especially, peanut gravy. The black pepper sauce was really good. The chicken was tender and juicy.
