Food Review: Diandin Lelux x Thai in Town

11:31:00

In the early 80s, They started a food business by peddling on a rented lorry, selling packed lunches to Thai workers at construction sites around Singapore.
In 1985, with much strong support from the customers, they opened their very first Thai food outlet at Golden Mile Complex, called "Diandin Leluk" which caters mainly to the Thai community.
In 1990s, they started 'Tuk Tuk Thai Kitchen', serving authentic Thai cuisine to Singaporeans and foreigners. So passionate about the 'Tuk Tuk' concepts, they imported a Tuk Tuk Taxi from Thailand, giving the  restaurant a more Thailand feel.
All cuisine are prepared by the native Thai chefs whom have many years of culinary experiences.
Over the years, 'Tuk Tuk Thai Kitchen' has created a brand name for itself. Whenever people think of authentic Thai cuisine, they think of 'Tuk Tuk Thai Kitchen'.

Thai Milk Tea - $1.80

The Thai milk tea was too sweet even we requested for less sweet. But it was still good.

Taste: 2/5

Stir Fried Minced Chicken with Basil Leaves and Chilli with rice and egg - $6

This dish wasn't look appetizing and it tasted like what it look like. It wasn't good enough. The Chicken was spicy enough and it wasn't flavorful too.

Taste: 1/5

Crabmeat Fried Rice - $7

The crabmeat fried rice was pretty average. The crabmeat was very little and the taste was just average.

Taste: 1/5

Food: 1/5
Ambiance: 1/5
Service: 0/5

Overall, The food quality wasn't that good and it doesn't have the Thai feel. The service was very bad too. Seated there for more than 10mins, the service staffs didn't even come and serve us. I will not be back again.

The minced chicken was good. It was fragrance, spicy and flavorful. But the taste was more on our local Chinese instead of Thai taste.
