16:27:00

Saigon Vietnamese Delicacy specializes in authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The menu offer an array of flavorful dishes. There are alot of varieties of specialties, the popular ones are as follow;.
Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Pancake) Goi xoai (Mango Salad) Ngheu hap sa (Clamps La La) Pho (Beef noodle) Chim cut chien bo (Fried Quail with butter) Bun bo hue (Sliced beef shank with rice noodle) Bun rieu (Crab and tomator soup).

Standard sauces that you will find at any Vietnamese Restaurant.

Glass Jelly with Coconut Milk - $3.50

It was very thick and milky!! The coconut milk was fragrant too.

Taste: 3/5

 Avocado Milkshake - $4

Average.

Taste: 2/5

 Pho Beef - $6.50

The broth was light and not oily but it was a tad salty, it was with lots of slippery smooth rice noodles. There was a generous amount of thinly sliced tender beef.  The only thing i don't like is, there're too much onion, and beansprout in it. Almost every mount i bite it with the onion and beansprout.

Taste: 3/5

 Chicken Noodle Soup - $6.50

The broth and noodle all similar to Pho beef, the only different is the meat. The chicken was tender but it don't have much taste.

Taste: 2/5

 Beef Stew with Rice/Noodle - $6.50

A good Vietnamese beef stew shouldn't be as thick as American beef stew. It’s more like a hearty soup with carrots and spices. However this beef stew broth was slightly too thick but it still taste good. The beef tendon, having been cooked slowly and gently for several hours, was moist and tender and its muscle fiber seemed to melt into an unctuous sauce.

Taste: 2/5

 Chicken Drumlet - $6.50

I felt that this was just a normal fried drumlet, nothing special about it. The taste-wise, the chicken wasn't crispy enough and the meat wasn't tender enough too.

Taste: 1/5

The sauces for fried drumlet. Sweet and spicy sauce.

Food: 1.75/5
Ambiance: 2/5
Service: 2/5

Overall, the food quality was not bad, but it can be better. The restaurant open till late night, it's another great supper place for those night owl.
