Cafe Review: 8 Degrees Taiwanese Bistro 八度空间
12:33:00
8 Degrees Taiwanese Bistro 八度空间, to most Chinese pop fans, can easily relate to Jay Chou, Zhou Jie Lun. As true as it seems, the theme of this bistro that is located in a small corner along Serangoon road, is very much related to Jay Chou.
Interior:
Interior of the bistro is tends to be more vintage rather than the modern style. The ambiance giving me a very cozy and relaxing feel. It's a right atmosphere for having a meal.
Almost every table has a different and cute design on it.
Menu:
Food:
8 Degree Bubble Tea - $3.80
Milk tea is a must-order drink whenever i visit a Taiwanese cuisine restaurant/cafe. The milk tea over here was very disappointing, The milk tea wasn't fragrance and it was quite tasteless. I feel like i am drink plain water. The pearl was just normal.
Taste: 0/10
Salted Crispy Chicken - $6.80
The salted crispy chicken was just normal. The portion was very little too. I can get a cheaper, good and yummy salted crispy chicken somewhere else. Not recommended.
Taste: 2/10
Braised beef noodle 红烧牛肉面 - $9.80
The worst braised beef noodle that i ever had. The broth was awful. It was purely chilli oil instead of nature flavor. The noodle tasted like instant noodle. The beef was overcooked till it was very tough and it lost all the flavor.
Taste: 0/10
Pork Belly Pasta - $8.80
It was an interesting dish. But the tasted wasn't as good as it looks. The meat was stewed to those soft, mushy texture but it was overly sweet. The egg was very normal. The noodle texture was smooth, chewy and springy. Not bad!
Taste: 2/10
Food: 0.75/10
Ambiance: 9/10
Service: 5/10
Overall, The cafe doesn't has GST and SERVICE CHARGE. The food quality was bad! It doesn't worth a try. Although the ambiance was good but i don't think it worst a visit.
