Hawker Food Hunt: Changi Village Food Centre
16:19:00Located close to Changi Point Ferry Terminal (the main transfer point to Pulau Ubin), it’s convenient for weekend fishermen and residents living in nearby HDB estates like Pasir Ris and Tampines looking for supper. Most stalls operate until midnight.
1. Amigo Noodle.
Ipoh Hor Fan - $4
The white noodles was smooth and has a slight chewy and springy texture, chicken is succulent & well marinated served with green vegetables.
Taste: 3.5/5
2. Mizzy Corner Nasi Lemak.
Nasi Lemak - $4.50
The rice was really fragrant and fluffy. The chilli was Sweet, spicy and fragrant. Chicken wings was freshly fried and crispy but the batter was a tad too thick. Otah was disappointing. It wasn't spicy and fragrant, it was just an average otah.
Taste: 2.5/5
3. Changi Village Carrot Cake.
Black Carrot Cake - $3
The appearance of the Black Carrot Cake does not justify the taste. The Black Carrot Cake was quite good and well fried. Each piece of carrot cake was well coated with flavour and egg.. They were fragrant and had the right sweetness level.
Taste: 3.75/5
Hokkien Mee - $4
As you can see, there were more thick bee hoon than noodles for this version and they were very well absorbed with the gravy and wasn't too dry. Chilli was sweet and goes well with the hokkien mee! But i think i can find better hokkien mee somewhere else.
Taste: 1.25/5
5. Kwong Satay.
Satay - $1.20/ Per Stick
The satay meat was well-marinated and tender and I enjoyed those charred bits that give the satay a bit of crunch and smoky flavor. Every stick was well-worth the money although i find it was over priced. Just go for the pork satay, i think the pork satay was the best out of all type of meat.
