Food Review: First Thai

14:46:00

First Thai is located along the popular food places, Purvis street, walking distance from Bugis. During lunch time it was always packed, best time to visit is around 130pm and 6pm.

Cha Yen - $3

The cha yen was really bad!! It tasted like plain water, the tea aroma was missing and the milk too.

Taste: 0/5

Rice - $1

Normal white rice. But it was quite pricey for a plate of white rice.

Sambal Kangkong - $8

The sambal kangkong was good, it was spicy and fragrance. The sauce was a little sweet too but it was okay. The kangkong was fresh and crunchy.

Taste: 3/5

Cereal Soft Shell Crab - $16

It was an interesting dish. First time trying cereal soft shell crab . The cereal was fragrance and savory. The soft shell crab was crispy and savory but it wasn't fresh.

Taste: 2.5/5

Tom Yum Seafood Soup - $8

We was very shocked when this dish arrived on our table. We was thinking are we order the wrong dish!! The amount of mushroom was too much, there is only 1 prawn, 1 slices of fish and 2 tiny sotong. The broth was good but it wasn't good enough. It was lacking of some spices.

Taste: 2/5

Food: 1.75/5
Ambiance: 2/5
Service: 1.5/5

Overall, the thai food was normal but it worth a try and it was really cheap as there's no GST and Service Tax.
