Food Review: Chicken Legend x Leong Kee (Klang) Bak Kut Teh
08:21:00There is nothing better than enjoying the coconut based steamboat which brings you a magical taste with the comfort dining experience. A new concept of healthy eating steamboat, at Chicken Legend, originated from Shenzhen City and the first Coconut Steamboat is now available in Singapore.
Sauces for the sides.
Regular set - $29
Prawn, korean pork belly, shabu shabu beef, corn, mushroom, cabbage, tofu, luncheon meat, scallop, whole kampong chicken.
The broth was light to the extend of colourless. Don’t judge by the look, the taste of the broth was amazing good. Some advice from the owner, prawn will be added at the last as the prawn will changed the over taste of the broth. At the start, the broth was sweet vegetable chicken soup. At last when prawn was added into the broth, the broth tasted into another awesome flavor.

Overall, Chicken legend was in a coffeeshop, it was quite hard to get to the coffee shop, but it worth a try.

Leong Kee Bak Kut Teh is one of a few bak kut teh places in Singapore that offer this dish in Klang style – a very popular bak kut teh style in Malaysia. Leong Kee has established a loyal following for its delicious and herbal rich bak kut teh at its two outlets on Beach Road and Geylang Street. But the shop now can only be found at Geylang Street.
Menu is on the sign board.
Sauces for the main or sides.
Bak Kut Teh - $6.60
The broth was so much thicker than the typical Singapore style BKT, and less peppery in nature too, but more pungent in terms of herbal flavours. I can’t say which style is better. Both are unique in their own ways, and as a Singaporean, i must admit i’m starting to love the Malaysian style as much too!

I think they are cheating my money!! Where is the meat!! The pork leg only has the skin but no meat can be found. The gravy was too sweet.
