Food Review: Alkaff Mansion Ristorante

Alkaff Mansion Ristorante - Exquisite Italian Dining in Historical Charm. Defined by its colonial architecture, European-styled fountains and romantic gazebos, Alkaff Mansion Ristorante is one of the top choices for destination dining in Singapore. Originally built in 1918, the mansion has been conserved and restored to its former glory. It is now a favourite venue for lazy Sunday brunches, romantic dinners, social functions, corporate events, weddings and the occasional soiree.

Get ready to satisfy your Italian gourmet cravings with the new Italian Gourmet Buffet! Bringing together some of the popular dishes from the Sunday Bottega Prosecco Brunch as well as the scrumptious Italian Grigliata Grill + Bar, it presents a curated menu featuring the top favourites from both buffet spreads. The Italian Gourmet Buffet is perfect for families seeking a mid-week break from preparing dinner at home, as well as couples or groups of friends that prefer an alternative and relaxed setting to a great Thursday evening. Available on the third Thursday of every month.

Octopus Carpaccio with Oranges and Black Olives: This sweet and tangy flavors of this dish definitely is the perfect dish to start off your meal.

Mozzarella Cheese with Tomatoes and Basil: If you love cheese, you will definitely love this dish, i am sure the ladies will love this dish as it has lots of fresh and sweet tomatoes in it, and with the mozzarella cheese to make it perfect.

Wagyu Beef Carpaccio:  The typical Italian dish made with raw meat. The beef was served with lemon, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese.

They’re also other side dishes: Mixed Green with Toasted walnut, cheese and egg, cold penne pasta with Italian Caponata and Pesto, Tuna Carpaccio with Orange and Black Olives, Cheese platter with Fresh Fruits and Jam, Selection of Italian cold cuts, Soup of the day.

Coffin Bay Oyster: The oysters lover sure will enjoy this dish the most, as for myself, i had almost a dozen of it.

Italian Station:

4 Selection of pasta/pizza, oven baked sea bass in salt.

Over Baked Sea Bass in Salt: Can you see this gigantic sea bass? It was absolutely fresh. The meat was very soft, moist and sweet. It doesn’t have a fishy smell in it, all you can taste was the freshness of the fish and salt taste from the skin.

 Grill Station:

Grilled Pork Belly: The pork belly was well grilled to perfection. The pork meat was tender till you don’t even spend so much of the energy to chew. The pork belly fats was at the minimum, you can’t really see any fats on the meat.

Lamb Rack with Sardinian Vermentino: The lamb rack was my favourite dish after the oysters! This lamb rack definitely score well for me and the rest of the people here. I can tell from the amount of lamb rack on the tables. The lamb rack was very tender and it doesn’t have the lamb gamey smell. This is the dish that you definitely must try.

They’re also other dishes: 36 Hours Marinated beef striploin, Grilled chicken leg, Grilled tiger prawn, Griled sardinian octopus, Roasted Potatoes with mixed herbs, (Fresh Italian Squid served with Extra Virgin Oil, Garlic and Italian Pasley), Seasoned Sauteed Vegetables.

Dessert Station:

The dessert station dessert will constant change from time to time, when a type of dessert is clear from the station, they will replace it with a new type of dessert.

Fruits Tart: Consist of orange, grape, strawberry, and raspberry. I really like this fruits tart, as it was healthy, refreshing, tiny, and sweet. I love crunch as it was buttery and crunchy.

My Verdict:
Alkaff Mansion Ristorante is the perfect place for diners to bring your date for an romantic dinner, or family/friends to have an dinner here. The atmosphere here will definitely let you forget about the worry and enjoy your meal.
