Food Review: OxWell and Co


A modern public House and dining rooms in the centre of Singapore's Chinatown Ann Siang Hill and Club Street - jointly brought to you by Mark Sargeant, Luke Whearty and The Blind Group.

Oxwell & Co. represents a piece of the British comfort in a heritage shop house, among a bevy of exclusive social clubs atop the iconic Ann Siang Hill.

The ground floor is the main bar, the first floor is the restaurant, the second floor is a private dining room and then there’s a roof terrace complete with garden area to get to work on some home grown garnishes and herbs. The whole building has been redesigned beautifully thanks to the artistic geniuses at The Stripe Collective. 

Pork Scratchings - $6

This was make with pork skin! It wasn't crispy instead it was very hard!!

Brussels Sprouts - $16

Brussels sprouts was on the sweet side but while the roasted pork added in it was perfect. A good dish to start off your meal.

Oven roasted Serama Chicken - $36

Chicken was roasted. The chicken was tender and the side was well blended with the it. 

Taste: 3/5

Kurobuta Pork Belly - $36

 The pork belly meat was extreme soft and tender! It was melted in your mouth texture. The pork belly skin wasn't oily too and not too much fat in it! I will be back for more!

Rooftop Garden: 

Hendrick Gin with Tonic - $18

Aix Rose wine - $16

Food: 3.5/5
Ambiance: 3.5/5 (Restaurant) 4.5/5 (Rooftop Bar)
Service: 5/5

Overall, The food at Oxwell was not exactly life-changing or intriguing in those molecular gastronomy way, but was superbly hearty and comforting in every sense, suiting me very well.
