Yet con chicken rice serving their style of authentic Hainanese chicken rice at the exact same spot in Purvis Street since 1940! I have heard lots of good and bad review about them, so finally decided to give it a try!





The chicken rice chili wasn't as spicy and fragrance than other famous chicken rice stalls. The dark soy sauce was super thick and a tad sweet. While the garlic sauce wasn't that garlicky!



A bowl of vegetables soup with lots of MSG in it!



The rice came in a tiny portion that suitable for small eater! The rice was moist but it was lacking of the chicken rice flavors instead it just tasted like normal steamed white rice!



The Hainanese steamed white chicken. The meat was on the cold side, and the meat wasn't that flavorful, and it wasn't that tender too. The skin was the bland side too!

My Verdict:
My experienced at Yet con chicken rice was bad! Not just the food, their service was even worst! They was quite rude, impatient and unprofessional! The ambiance was kind of cool but once you enter the shop you can smell a weird smell that can't i describe it. Overall, this chicken rice stalls wasn't worth a try at all!
