Pasta Fresca is an authentic Italian restaurant chain established in 1988 with outlets in Bukit Timah, Siglap and Boat Quay. Pasta Fresca strongly believes in providing the freshest ingredients and freshly made fresh pasta and sauces. Pastas are produced without preservatives and additives as opposed to using dried pasta. Besides producing for its own use, Pasta Fresca distributes to five star hotels, restaurants, airlines and other related businesses through its factory in Pandan Loop. It has its proprietary products of wine, olive oil and also other Italian food products which are specially imported from Italy. Pasta Fresca’s restaurant chain is known for its wide selection of pastas (16 variety) and sauces (21 variety), giving its guests the flexibility to create their own pasta dish.

Boat quay outlet -

Crab Meat Pasta -

Penne tossed Beef Ragu with tomato sauce! were cooked to al dente with hint of sweet and sour flavor to the tomato sauce.Nothing too spectacular but instead it resembles that of a simple pasta dish!

Taste: 3/5

Beef Lasagna -

An old-school dish that everyone loves! Beef lasagna in bolognese sauce. The lasagna texture was al-dente and it was flavorful. It absorbed all the flavor from bolognese sauce! It was simple and good.

Taste: 3/5

Overall, The food at Pasta Fresca is quite good and reasonably priced. Ambiance was good! It was a perfect place to bring date for a meal.

The Daily Scoop persevered through an uncertain beginning with an ambition to share honest-to-goodness ice cream with dessert connoisseurs. Encouraged by their customers’ stamp of approval, they boldly ventured into vibrant, cosmopolitan Holland Village, with 2nd café opening in 2009.
In a quest to spread more ice cream joy, they headed North in 2013, opening 3rd outlet in Sembawang-Yishun. In 2015, they opened the 4th outlet in SOTA.

Double Scoop Ice Cream - $6.80

Choose from a range of egg free* flavours made with low fat milk, yet bursting in flavour with
every spoonful. They make theirice cream in-store daily, creating flavours from local ingredients, luscious seasonal fresh fruits, aromatic vanilla beans, fragrant honey, specialty blend coffee and sweet liqueur. With such quality ingredients, there’s no room for artificial flavouring and colouring!

I choose hazelnut ice cream and butter cookie ice cream. Both ice cream aroma was strong and flavorful.

Food: 3/5
Ambiance: 2/5 (SOTA Outlet)
Service: 0/5 (SOTA Outlet)

Overall, The Daily Scoop is definitely worth a visit. Expect to pay around S$4 – 5 for a single scoop and around S$7 for a double scoop. Waffles are an add on of around S$5.50? But the service was extreme bad. The service crew girl served us with extreme piss off face and attitude was very bad and the cashier girl too! Will never visit SOTA outlet again!
