Food Review: Yu Cun Curry Fish Head

23:14:00

Bubbling claypots of seafood and meat emerge from the kitchen of Yu Cun Claypot Curry Fish Head, filling the dining space with Chinese-styled curry prawns, deep-fried soft shell crabs, braised pork, and signature fish head curry. One can find the restaurant located a short six-minute walk from Tai Seng MRT station.

Three Color Milk Tea -

Interesting milk tea. I heard this type of milk tea was first found in Malaysia a island call Malacca. It was served with milk, tea, and gula melaka syrup. The taste was unique but it was good and addictive. Not so sweet and flavorful.

Taste: 4/5

Spinach with enoki mushroom -

Well cooked dish! It was flavorful and garlicky. It goes well with a bowl of rice.

Taste: 3/5

Curry Fish Head -

One of the best curry fish head I had so far. The curry was fragrance, creamy, flavorful, and spicy! The spicy level was perfect, spicy lover will definitely love it. The fish was fresh and huge.

Taste: 4/5

Yam Paste -

This yam paste was quite disappointing, as it was on the bland side!

Food: 3.5/5
Ambiance: 1/5
Service: 1/5

My Verdict:
We enjoyed our dining experience. The curry fish head was really good, it's a must to try and also their three color milk tea. This place doesn't need to make reservation as the restaurant even at dinner time it's still quite empty.
