Food Review: Izy Dining and Bar

15:07:00

IZY Dining & Bar is a pop culture modern Izakaya serving quality Japanese-American fare and drinks like sake, highball and umeshu. Conceptualising its interior is a 11-metre mural composed of Japanese and American pop icons set in an edgy mod-industrial abode.

Embracing quality and productive perfection, IZY’s witty sensuality is translated into sharing plates of over-the-top character maki and sushi rolls. She also prides herself in savoury signatures like the wagyu tomato sukiyaki and wagyu truffle don.

Forget about boundaries and experience the unreserved openness of youth with pop music, unbounded sparks of energy and liveliness.

The fun continues at the back of IZY where a pop culture Japanese bar, CACHÉ, lie concealed behind a camouflaged wall. This industrial-chic bar adorned with copper elements exudes a tactile experience with its pop culture figurines that line the leather and mirror panels.

In CACHÉ, the party runs all week from 5pm till 2am. Grab a drink and when the chorus arrives, toss your napkins into the air like confetti and dance away.

The modern interior!

Flower Blue Moon - $20++

Recommend for lady! Sweet and less alcoholic taste.

Cache - $20++

Strong flavor and contain high alcohol percentage.

Sakura - $18++

Another lady drink, got a sakura flower in it.

Yuzu Spark - $18++

My favorite and I had 3 glass of it. Yuzu lover will definitely love this cocktail.

IZY Roll - $16.00++

Tempura shrimp, asparagus with baked and torched spicy crab mayo and avocado spreaded out on top of the rice roll. One of the must try dish because you won't regret it.

Crunchy Roll - $12

Tempura shrimp, flying fish roe, avocado and spicy sauce topped with tempura bits. All ingredients works well together! Especially the spicy sauce, for me I think the sauce is very important if the sauce wasn't well prepared or doesn't fit the dishes, it will totallu ruin everything! But this dish works perfectly well.

Japanese Nokke Roll - $32.00++

Uni, ikura, crab, negitoro, vegetables. The best dish and best seller over here. Uni lover and seafood lover will definitely love this dish! The uni doesn't steal lime-light instead it enhanced overall taste. I recommend everyone to give it a try.

Buta Kakuni - $12.00++

Braised pork that braised for more than 6 hours so that it can produce the succulent tender texture. It goes well with a bowl of Japanese Steamed white rice.

Gyu-katsu - $30++

Rare beef cutlet served with three sauces dip. It was amazing, first time heard and saw it in a Japanese restaurant. They are frying the beef, it's not that easy! They manage to pull it off! The outer part was fried still golden brown and crispy, and on the inner part the beef was still soft and tender. The dish that test the chefs skill.

Bayan Cauda - $15.00++

Assorted Japanese vegetables with white miso sauce. The key ingredients for this dish was their sauce, the sauce bring up this boring dish to another level. Worth the try.

Wagyu Truffle Don - $38.00++

Josper grilled wagyu beef and onsen egg on rice topped with fresh truffle slices. The truffle is not overwhelming instead it was prefect. Everything work wells together.

Sake Salmon - $15++

Fresh and quality salmon.

Tebasaki - $12++

Deep fried chicken wing with sweet soy sauce and white pepper. This chicken wings comes with a strong flavor and savoury. Perfect dish for beer or alchol drinks.

Grilled Swordfish - $28++

Grulled swordfish steak with parmesan and seaweed sauce. My favourite dish among all for tonight. The swordfish was extreme soft, tender and savoury. Trust me, you will falls for this dish once you had tried it.

Wagyu Beef Roll - $25++

Beef, vegetables, ginger and wasabi on the side. I guess wagyu beef lover will surely love it.

Maccha Ice Cream - $7++

Perfect dessert to end off the meal. Sweet azuki bean and icy, creamy matcha ice cream to let you fly to heaven.

Strawberry Chili Sorbet - $7++

Interesting and unique dessert. If you are adventurous enough, you should give it a try.

My Verdict:
Izy Dining and Bar is the perfect place to dine and drink while chiling with friends on a weekdays night. Be sure to come back for more of their awesome yummy food. Thanks Izy dine and bar for the invitation.
