JB Cafe Review: Terminal One Cafe @ Taman Pelangi

00:00:00

Terminal One Cafe: Inspired by the sense that timeless railway stations evoke, Terminal One is a bistro that encapsulates the need to escape from the bustling city lifestyle and to serve as a gateway to the bygone idyllic era of class and elegance.

The experience is immersive. The evocative ambiance is augmented by retro decorations around each corner inspired by the majestic Grand Terminal Station. The nostalgic Coach Compartment Seating provides an intimate space for customers to dine and mingle.

Great foods are meant to be shared, bearing that in mind all Terminal One food are served Hors d’oeuvre style; piquant taste in light sizes.

Selections are extensive, with a fusion menu ranging from mini Japanese Sandwiches to ‘Western Delights’ and as to emulate the train-dining experience, all foods are served in a tray.

Why restrict yourself to one selection when you can enjoy everything in our menu? Our bite-size foods also mean that customers can pick and match any food in our menu the way they prefer.

Customers looking for more whole some meals may also opt to order additional food from the other One Garage restaurants.

Terminal One is the place to be for an exquisite dining experience. Discover a timeless setting combined with delightful fusion delicacies and be blown away with the grandeur of the design.

Food:

Yestea -

The signature drink at Terminal One cafe. This drink was our favorite, we even finish up 3 glass each by ourselves!! Can tell that we really like this drink. The tea aroma was strong and flavorful. It has Jasmine aroma in it too. The sweetness was just right.

Taste: 5/5

Green Sensation -

Green apple, cucumber and celery juice. it just an normal fruit juices.

Taste: 1.5/5

Mushroom Soup -

The mushroom soup was served with crispy puff and topped up with slices of sauteed mushroom. The soup was a tad too salty to our liking and it also lacking of the mushroom taste.

Taste: 1/5

Chicken Wing Set -

Fried chicken wings with fries. The fries was pretty normal, I will suggest if the fries can add a bit of seasoning like seaweed or truffles it will be better. The chicken wings was really good! My favourite dishes among all. The chicken wings was well marinated and fried still the skin was extreme crispy and juicy and tender on the inside. I would recommend everyone to give it a try.

Taste: 3.25/5

Snack Platter -

Buffalo wings, black pepper sausage, wedge, coleslaw.  The buffalo wings was well marinated but the spiciness need to improve or we can choose the level of spiciness it will be better as we all find that the buffalo wings wasn't spicy enough or not spicy at all. The wedge and black pepper sausage was good, the wedge was quite addictive even without any sauce.

Taste: 2/5

Lamb Chop -

Their highly recommended lamb chop by the chef. Sad to say, this lamb chop was quite disappointing. The lamb meat was dry and tough. The lamb gamy was super strong, even me, myself a lamb meat eater also can't stand the taste of it.

Taste: 0/5

Salmon Tempura -

Deep fried salon, coleslaw, fries and veggie. The fried salmon was good. The salmon was well fried still golden brown and crispy. The salmon meat was still soft and tender. It well eaten with the tartar sauce.

Taste: 3/5

Nasi Lemak -

Chicken chop, egg, tomato, cucumber, ikan bilis, peanuts, pandan rice, and sambal chili. The chicken chop was well fried and seasoned. They used chicken thigh for their chicken chop. The minus point of this dish is their rice, the rice was cold and hard!! Guess they are using over-night rice and just put it into microwave. The winning point of this dish is their sambal chili! The sambal chili was really good, spicy, fragrance and addictive. If only they sell their sambal chili in a container too.

Taste: 1.5/5

Food: 2/5
Ambiance: 3.5/5
Service: NA

My Verdict:

We enjoyed our dining experience at terminal one cafe.  I highly recommend you to try their yestea, chicken wings set and also their salmon tempura. Thanks Termina once cafe for the invitation and special thanks to station one team, terminal chef.
