Food Review: Paik's Bibim x New Udon Thai Mookata

13:57:00

Paik's Bibimbap is a fast food type of Korean Bistro that serves up Korea's famous Bibimbap and warm noodles "Korean style". Paik’s Bibim serves a small but varied menu of food . There are four varieties of Bibimbap , which is a signature Korean mixed rice dish , usually containing white rice and sautéed vegetables with either chili pepper paste , soy sauce or fermented soy bean paste . One may also add a raw or fried egg and various sliced meat to the dish .

Grape Juice x Pear Juice - $2.50 Each

Normal. Waste of money!!

Pork Bibimbap - $7.90

The Pork Bibimbap consisted of warm rice as it’s base , shredded lettuce (possibly arugula and cabbage), Mushroom, beansprout, carrot, minced pork meat and seaweed as garnish . This also included a bowl of soup.

The pork was slightly weaker, as the taste wasn't strong and it was lacking of some taste.

Taste: 1/5

Beef Bibimbap - $8.90

The Beef Bibimbap consisted of warm rice as it’s base , shredded lettuce (possibly arugula and cabbage) , sliced sesame beef and seaweed as garnish . This also included a bowl of soup .

The rice was not actually warm when it was served to us!! Taste-wise, the meat was juicy and tasted good and the rice was of sticky consistency. The veggie was crunchy. But the soup was tasteless.

Taste: 1.5/5

Teriyaki Chicken Cupbap - $4.90

The rice was hidden beneath the generous serving of shredded lettuce and cabbage, small pieces of teriyaki chicken topped with crunchy fried crumbs, mayonnaise and laver.

Taste: 1.5/5

Spicy Korean Rice Cake - $4.90

The spicy rice cake wasn't spicy at all!! The rice cake was moist, chewy, al dente and not sticky!!

Taste; 2/5

Food: 1/5
Ambiance: 1.5/5
Service: NA

Overall, The food wasn’t exceptional , but it definitely wasn’t a bad experience.

Thailand style steamboat-and-barbecue is going to be the next big thing in Singapore's dynamic food scene!! I was recommended by lots of bloggers and friends for this mookata. Finally found a chance to have it!!

Set for 2 - $45

Come with Prawn, squid, chicken, pork, liver, fishball, egg, lettuce, cabbage, crabmeat stick, hot dog, enoki mushroom.

Thai Milk Tea - $1.50

The tea taste wasn't strong enough, and the milk was overwhelmed.

Taste: 0.5/5

Chilli sauce was very shiok!! Spicy lover will love it!!

The Red stuff in a bag was Pork Lard, using the pork lard as oil to brush the steamboat metal plate.

Food: 2/5
Ambiance: 1/5
Service: 1/5

Overall, the food was good but the ingredients wasn't that fresh!! Rice was charged on a per bowl basis at $1. There are no service tax and GST. They ONLY ACCEPT CASH!! I feel that mookata is just normal bbq food and steamboat to me!!
