Food Review: Seng Huat Coffee House

13:17:00

Established in 1969, Seng Huat Coffee Shop has been under the media eye for years. It seems like their Bak Chor Mee is a hot favourite! Beside selling Bak Chor Mee, they sell pork bun too! Bak Chor Mee literally translates to ‘meat’, ‘vinegar’, ‘noodles’ in the teochew dialect and is usually served with mee kia-thin yellow noodles, but I would recommend
choosing mee pok-a fettuccini version of Chinese noodles if you’d like.

Bak Chor Mee - $3.50

The noodles do stay firm, and less starchy. What's really good is the blend of sauces - the chili, vinegar and savoury notes complement each other well. The braised mushroom was well braised and chewy.

Teh Peng (Iced Milk Tea) - $1.50

It was just normal teh peng.
