Food Review: Rong Cheng Bak Kut Teh 榕城(新民路)肉骨茶
13:45:00Rong Cheng is in the bak kut teh business since 1976. Original stall is located at blk 22 Sin Ming Road, at the corner of a coffeeshop. For decades, Rong Cheng has built up a huge fanfare based on words of mouth and quality of food. Rong Cheng is the first to introduce the clear broth soup base and prime ribs (龙骨), which both became an instant hit among the food connoisseurs.
On 8th November 2011, a new milestone is achieved with the opening of a new shop which is located a stone throw away from our main stall. In this new shop which is located in Midview City at Sin Ming Lane, not only the recipe and style are kept, more improvements and new dishes are cooked up to ensure a more pleasant dining experience.

Pork Ribs Soup -
The broth was very tasteless, it was just purely water and pepper. It was not up to the standard. The meat wasn't soft and tender enough. The meat was still slightly tough.

Braised Pork Trotters -
The braised gravy wasn't good enough, it was on the bland side. I can hardly find a meat in it. It was all skin and fats!!

Braised Pig Intestine -
This must be the worst braised pig intestine that i ever ate!!

The chilli and dark soya sauce was super salty. Not like others bak kut teh place!!

Overall, The food was super bad and the service was even worst. They are no Price in the menu and they also won't produce receipt too. When we call for the bill, the waiter just anyhow count it, we asked the waiter to tell us the price of each dishes, other customers did it the same way too as the price was very different from other customers. They are not a honest stall owner.
