Food Review: Sembawang White Beehoon at You Huak (友发餐室）

Much has been raved about the delicious Sembawang White Bee Hoon and how customers are willing to bear with the long queues just for a plate of it. People drive from different parts of Singapore to wait for hours during dinner at Sembawang White Bee Hoon 白米粉 coffeeshop just for this plate of Seafood White Beehoon 海鲜白米粉!
Bai Mee Fen -
A moist rice noodle dish stir-fried with prawns, squids, eggs and vegetables in gravy. The bee hoon was simmered in a very tasty stock, flavourful yet deliciously light on the palate. Texture wise, each strand of the thin rice vermicelli retained a nice bite, yet soft without being mushy, displaying the chef's mastery control of the cooking timing.

Indo Style Chicken Wings -
The wings are spiced with turmeric. But the wings was slightly dry.

Sambal Sweet Potato Leaf -
The sambal wasn't spicy enough and it was very watery. The sweet potato leaf was very soggy and it has lost it crunchiness and the taste.

Overall, the bai mee fen was really good. It really worth the travel and the money for it.
