Food Review: MR Punch Public House

09:49:00

Mr Punch is best known for his work in the puppet show, ’Punch and Judy’. The gastropub, Mr Punch Public House, is a re-imagination of the countless summers Mr Punch spent touring the streets and beaches of the world with the cast and crew members of ‘Punch & Judy’. It is a nostalgic celebration of good food, better company & plentiful drinking.

Mr Punch Public House serves up an eclectic sharing menu, mixing together global influences in unexpected combinations. Highlights from the menu include Iberico Presa Steak and Charred Squid & Tobiko. A variety of whiskies, wines and beers are also available in addition to a wide range of cocktails. Along with the space’s kitsch décor, all this offers guests an unconventional and unique dining experience.

They have a Toy museum located in the building. It consist of 6 Level, Basement and Level 1 is dining area. Level 2-5 will be toy museum.

Below is some of the photo I took during my trip.

 Done with visiting the toy museum! Now is the time for food!

The Sinful - $14++

The Devil's French Toast. Definitely not for the weak hearted (Literally), the devil's breakfast features thick brioche slapped with the savoury goodness that is Nutella + Peanut Butter, topped with vanilla ice cream to wash it all down. The rice-krispees banana balls packs a fruitful flavour reminiscent of your childhood days.

Judy's Plate - $18++

A continental choice. Nothing tastes better than a mother's cooking, and the same goes for this homely plate. The homemade granola coupled with vanilla yoghurt and honey is the perfect combination you never knew you wanted, while the croissant teleports you right back to your mum's kitchen.

Seaside Omelet - $28++

Boston lobster, scramble eggs, gruyere cheese, toasted brioche.

One does not simply mention Mr Punch without giving a tribute to his subside day. This specially omelet points on idyllic day by the beach, appreciating the fresh sweetness of the Boston lobster, further enchanted by gruyere cheese and a grand mourner Faberge.

My Verdict:
A place suitable for family to dine in after exploring the toy museum. I will be back again to try out their dinner menu.
