Food Review: Tang Tea House Hong Kong Cafe

Few days back, I met up with my bro Olivier for dinner after our work. We wanted to try the famous buffalo wings at sunset grill and bar but too bad it was closed down already!! So no choice we had to find another alternative!! So we decided to give this halal restaurant a try!!

Follow us and see what we had order!!

Teh Peng - $1.60

Normal teh peng.

Otah in Banana Leaf - $4 for 3

We both like the otah as this otah is flavorful and you can really taste the mackerel and the spiciness was perfect so the non spicy eater can try too but you might need a glass of water I guess.

Taste: 4/5

Chicken Briyani - $6.50

This chicken briyani was really good! The rice was really fragrant and full of aroma! The chicken was super tender and flavorful. We can tell it was marinated with lots of spies and herbs in it. One of the few best chicken briyani I had tried so far!

Taste: 4.5/5

Curry Chicken in Claypot - $7

This is the worst dish among all! The chicken is under-cooked and the curry was very watery and we can only taste the coconut milk flavor and nothing else. Don't ever try this dish over here!!

Taste: 0/5

The Under-Cooked Chicken when we complaint to them, they just say it was blood-shot!! Is this look like a blood shot to you guys?

Spicy Wings - $9 for 3

This was good!! My favorite dish among all tonight!! The chicken was well marinated with the spies and herbs. The spies and herbs they used was really well mixed. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The spiciness is slowly kick in after a few bites. Spicy lovers will definitely like it!

Taste: 4.5/5

Food: 3.6/5
Ambiance: 1.5/5
Service: 0.5/5

My Verdict:
The food here was good but not for the curry chicken!! The service was quite bad thought, they will keep rushing you to order when we just got our table for less than 1 min!!

Check out their website for the location. They have 3 outlets in Singapore, we went to the Jalan Kayu outlet.
