House of Seafood first opened in April 2008 at 180 Yio Chu Kang Road. Due to popular demand, the famous crab has made its way to Changi at Cosford Road, 36 Yio Chu Kang Road and 1Joo Chiat Place. In 2014, they won Singapore's BEST VOTED BLACK PEPPER CRAB and in 2015, they were awarded with BEST SALTED EGG YOLK crab!

I won a $50 voucher from them so decided to bring my parent over and try out their crab and other dishes. We went down to their upper serangoon shopping centre outlet.

The restaurant was very empty during dinner time, we went around 8pm but the restaurant was very empty. Don't even need to book. Now, let try out their food.


Signature Black Pepper Crab - Seasonal price (100g for $6.80++)

Finally know why they are voted the best black pepper crab in Singapore. Their black pepper crab was more saucy, moist and pasty. I don't mind have it everyday. Rated 5/5.


Salted Egg Yolk Crab -

The salted egg was quite disappointing. They never bring out the salted egg yolk aroma and taste. I don't recommend you to try it. Rated 2/5


Signature Pork Ribs with Chef's special sauce - $18++ small

The pork ribs sauce was good, it was sweet and savory but the meat wasn't tender enough.


Braised Beancurd with seafood in claypot - $14++ Small

Mushroom, cabbage, tofu, prawn, squid and sticky and tasty braised broth. Recommend to go it with a bowl of rice.


Sambal Kangkong - $10++ small

The fried sambal kangkong was well stir-fried, and the sambal was well blended and fragrance. It was worth the order.

My Verdict:
The food quality was good, and the serving time was fast. Highly recommend you to visit their upper serangoon shopping centre outlet. Black pepper is a must to order dish!!
