Food Review: Nanjing Impressions 南京大牌档


Nanjing Dapaidang was found in 1994 and over the two decades, it has created a food culture nirvana with perseverance and consistency. Each restaurant is more than 6,000 sf to illustrate the prosperity Nanjing in the olden days.In 2013, awarded as the Golden Tripod Winner of the “Top Ten Brands of Chain Restaurant in China” by the Chinese Restaurant Association. Live cooking with small stalls serving the favorite Nanjing snacks, dim sum, appetizers, noodles, soups, entrees, river treasures, dumplings, desserts and liquors. Etched detail in renovation and ambience – relocating the Ming & Qing Dynasty old courtyard house and market stalls to the shopping mall.

Luo Han Guo -

Steamed Glutinous Rice with Pork ($16.80) -

The glutinous rice is seasoned and soaked then placed in a bowl lined with pork belly.

Celestial Roast Duck Dumpling (S$8.80/3 pieces) -

Duck dumplings! This is a first for me.  Disappointment! 

Braised Goose Wing - $5.80 each 

Well braised goose wings. Flavourful and addictive. 

Jinling Roast Duck - ($16.80)

Roast duck served in herbal sauce. Recommend to drizzle the sauce over a bowl of rice! The roast duck's skin is crisp and tasty, while the duck meat was tender and well seasoned. The small portion can feed 2-3 pax.
