Hotel Jen Orchard Gateway Singapore will be showcasing the best of Singapore Hawker Cuisine this July and August with live cooking station set up on the terrace of Makan@Jen serrving freshly made local dishes, and features local favourites including Roti Prata, Hokkien mee, Chicken Satay, and Oyster Omelette.  Diners will also be able to try out some Singapore sweeter selection, including the ever popular kaya toast, various selection of Nonya kueh and even bubur cha cha with durian.



Central to the dinner will be one of Singapore all time favourites - Singapore Laska, done with a twist. Chef Lee's Laska Fried Rice is his take on a dish that was first brought into Singapore by the peranakan. Who settled in the katong area between the 15th and 17th centuries. While there are many variation of Laska. Chef Lee Laska recipe remain a secret but is freshly made at Makan@Jen  and the laska fried rice is prepared alongside fresh seafood and laska sauce.



Local Drink Booth: You can find beverages like: Iced Milo, bandung, lime juice, lemon barley and more.

My Verdict: 
I enjoyed my dining experience at Makan@Jen. Their Singapore Hawker Food was good, the money you pay definitely won't gone to waste. Try their hokkien mee and Wanton mee, highly recommended by me.
