First stop of the day will be having the famous wanton mee and braised pork rice in Bangkok!

There is nothing really extraordinary about this famous wanton noodles, it known as “Sabx2 Pratunum Wanton Mee”. Many Singaporeans came here for them, it's located opposite Platinum Fashion Mall.

Condiments -

Wanton Mee - 100 Baht

It was really a simple dish but it tasted so good! The portion was very small. Be sure to order more! There are also lots of crispy lard in every mouthful of noodle, including the slightly char roasted Char Siew!
Taste: 3/5

Braised Pig Trotter Rice - 100 Baht

The best braised pig trotter that i have tasted so far in Bangkok! Tender and soft pork boiled in delicious braised sauce makes this dish extremely popular here. It goes extremely well with rice and you can easily finish it within minutes since it’s so good.

Iced Tea -

Tasteless!!

Thai Style Chicken Rice -

The rice that’s cooked in chicken broth and chicken fat, making each individual grain glisten with oil and scream with chicken-ey goodness. The chicken is tender but doesn't have the moistness. It was quite dry in it.

Taste: 1.25/5

Chicken Blood Sauce -

Tasted weird and salty!

Taste: 0.25/5

Overall, This stall is forever filled with customers, come try it for yourself!

Thai Iced Milk Tea -

Thai Milk Tea (Cha Yen, ชาเย็น), the distinctive orange coloured tea, is so well loved by Singaporeans. It's a must have drink when you are in Thailand!! Tried this cha yen, the taste was similar to tuk tuk cha in Singapore just that the tea aroma was a little bit lighter!

Taste: 3/5

Iced Mocha -

It has a strong bitter after taste!

Taste: 1/5

Steamed Rice -

Fried Cat Fish Skin with Salted Egg -

This dish was damn good! The fish skin was well fried still crispy and savoury! It was not too salty!

Taste: 4/5

Tom Yum Seafood -

The portion of the ingredients was very generous! It was loaded with prawn, sliced fish, squid, and mushroom.

Sad to say the tom yum broth was on a bland side, as i can't taste much of the tom yum aroma!

Taste: 0.75/5

Fried Chicken with Salt -

This chicken was the worst dish that i ever eat so far! The chicken was extreme HARD!! Don't order this dish!

Taste: 0/5

Lions Roar / Fine imported sirloin with aromatic tasty sauce -

Stewed Sirloin wrapped with cabbage, along with fried bacon, red onion and topped with White Flower Factory aromatic sauce.

Milo Volcano crepe -

The oozing thick layer of the milo sauce drenching the cake topped up with milo powder and milo candy! It was so "miloty"!!

Taste: 3.75/5

Thai Tea Crepe Cake -

It is a classic French cake that translates to “thousand crêpe cake” but this has a slight asian twist in it. The oozing thick layer of the infused Thai tea sauce drenching the cake is just sensational.

Taste: 4/5

Overall, Good dessert in a convenient location. This thai crepe is highly recommended!

We went to MBK super market to shop for snacks and other stuff to bring back to Singapore and try!

Mont Nom Sod is a cafe that specialised in toasts and milk that is situated at level 2 of MBK Center. Mont Nom Sod's concept is very much like our version of Toast Box. MBK mall is probably Bangkok's most legendary shopping mall, popular with both tourists and locals.

Iced Milk -

I find the milk is just normal milk! Nothing special about it!

Taste; 1/5

Coconut Custard -

Soft Bread -

Original Coconut Custard x Chocolate Toast -

Their coconut custard is similar to our local “Kaya”, just that the coconut taste is stronger and is less sweet as compared to Kaya. The toast was crispy and fragrance too.

Taste: 4/5

The chocolate they used was dark chocolate as it has a strong chocolate aroma and it has bitter taste it it.

Taste: 2/5

Overall, Mont Nom Sod is a cafe which serves simple, yet delightful food at a affordable price, Mont Nom Sod was a hidden gems in Bangkok.

An easy, healthy and detoxifying drink!

Thai Iced Milk Tea -

This is the sweetest "Cha Yen" i have drank so far! It was too sweet to be consumed! Went to order another glass of water to drink instead!

Taste: 0/5

Stir Fried Morning Glory -

Nothing spectacular about this dish as it’s simply seasoned with garlic, chili and soy sauce.

Taste: 1.5/5

Tom Yum Shrimp -

The spicier and the best tom yum soup that i have tasted so far in this trip! Generous serving of prawn and huge mushroom! The broth was not just spicy, it was aromatic too. It goes well with a bowl of rice.

Taste: 4.25/5

Pad Thai -

This pad thai was on the sweet side! The pad thai was well stir-fried, it was fragrance and savoury.

Taste: 3/5

Basil Pork -

I don't really like this dish as it was on the salty side and it was lacking of some flavors. Not recommended!!

Taste: 0/5

Mango Sticky Rice -

Almost forgot to try mango sticky rice in Bangkok! This is the only mango sticky rice i had in this trip! This mango sticky rice was decent and delicious.

Taste: 2/5

Overall, Decent thai food at affordable price. If you are around Siam or stay at Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square, why not give it a try! Just don't order their Cha Yen!!

Mongkol Coffee concept is just like bubble tea shop style! It served decent coffee just right outside centre point of siam square!

Some creepy baby figuring!

Mongkol Iced Coffee -

Tried their signature coffee! The coffee was extreme bitter and a tad sourish! I never manage to finish it or perhaps i just drank a few mouths!!

Taste: 0/5

That concluded my 4 days 3 nights in Bangkok! It was fun although lots of problems between me and my friend. Most of the time i am alone on this trip. Thing i learned from this trip is, don't travel with friends that you are not close with if not the friendship might be damage or gone!! This is so true " travel with friends, you can see their true color" Either the friendship will be stronger or broken!!

Thanks for reading!
