12:15:00

Hey everyone, i am back for more food reviews.

This week i'll be blogging about where to have nice dessert like, ice creams, waffles, cakes, and even chinese style dessert etc.

Started off with my first dessert cafe review of the week at cake spade.

First Stop, Cake Spade.

Cake Spade cafe was opened by a young and talented lady called Zenn.
Zenn fell in love with baking a decade ago, a hobby which turned into a small home-run business before opening a store in Tanjong Pagar to keep up with demand.

Cake Spade specializes in cake. The cakes over here are special & different from the usual suspects. Along with many unique flavours, the cakes are baked from scratch, using the finest & freshest ingredients.

The cafe is really small, with the capacity of 6 indoor and 10 outdoor or less.

Chocolate Blackout Cake // The chocolate was rich, creamy and not so sweet. Cake was soft and spongy.

Strawberry Tofu Cheesecake // The best seller over here. The texture was quite unique, and it was more gelatinous rather than smooth and creamy. And the cheese layer was spongy and the cheese taste was mild.

Pomegranate Green Tea, Blueberry White Tea, Green Tea with Ginseng // The green tea with ginseng was the best out of all the tea. Everyone should try it.

Food: 4.75/5

It definitely worth the visit. The cake over here was really fantastic and unique. Best to come with a small group of friends during weekday late noon, cause the cafe is really quite small.
Next Stop, Scoopz.

Scoopz was founded in 1996, it opened their first outlet at Parkway Parade and has been serving up the best of local ice cream flavours. And it too popular they have opened their second outlet at Upper Thomson.

The  range of handcrafted ice-cream flavors to choose from.
These flavors changes almost weekly (unless it's a popular flavor that many love).

Earl Grey and Vanilla Ice cream // Earl grey was my favorite out of all flavors. The ice cream was really creamy and nice.

The ice cream here was really not bad. Some other must-try flavors, peanut butter, strawberry shortcake, salted caramel and durian as well. The cafe offer some card and board game as well.

Chocolate and Pure Pistachio Ice cream with Waffle // The waffles was just average, but the ice cream was real good. The ice cream was rich and creamy.

Gila Melaka and Mao San Wang (Durian) Ice cream // Gila Melaka was good according from my friend. But mao shan wang was really good and it doesn't taste artificial.

Food: 3.5/5

Service: 3/5

Sorry for the bad quality of photos. Udders is well known for their liqueur selections of ice cream and here is some of the flavors: lychee martini, lemoncello sorbet, bailey's and bourbon, and the best seller, Tira-Miss-U and Rum Rum Raisin. And some other must-try flavors: Awesomely chocolate, Botak Coconut sherbet, and Honeycomb vanilla. It's a good place to chill and have a good chat over a good ice cream. Udders still lately.

The Japanese really do put in the effort to display what they have to offer. The display was so attractive.

Iced Americano ($4.30) // The coffee aroma was strong and smooth.

Vietnam Coffee ($4.80) // The coffee was too sweet, i think they put too much of condemns milk.

Chococro ($2.40) // 'Chococro' simply mean chocolate croissant in short. The chococro has a crisp texture and a strong buttery flavor.

Chocolate Banana Split ($8.60) // The vanilla ice cream was smooth and creamy, but overall was just average nothing special about it.

The food over here was just average, but the coffee was good. It can be a good place to chill or have some alone time with coffee and book. During weekday non busy hours, it was quite quiet and empty in the cafe, so it a good time to spend it alone.

Mango Pomelo Sago // It served with sweet mango, tangy pomelo, soaked sago and coconut milk mixed with cream. The texture was good, and it was smooth, sweet and sour.

Red Bean soup with Glass jelly and ice cream // The red bean soup was a bit sweet, but it was smooth and sticky. The glass jelly was soft and smooth and the ice cream was just normal.

Tang Yuan with Ginger Soup // Tang Yuan was fill with peanut and sesame. It was good, the ginger soup was good too.
