Be amongst the first in Singapore to discover The Butcher’s Kitchen’s brand-new whisky series! The series comprises three mouth-watering mainstays: Whisky Char Siew Noodles, Whisky Chips and Whisky Steak.
The Whisky Char Siew Noodles reimagines a beloved local classic bound to ignite the taste buds in every Singaporean. Each component is meticulously prepared to present an all-rounded, satisfying meal made warm and fresh. Juicy and tender slices of char siew are marinated in a fragrant homemade sauce before roasting to perfection. Just before serving, the char siew slices are drizzled in its homemade sauce and a little whisky, then flamed to give a delicious, caramelised smoking finish. Of a substantial size, the wanton houses fresh, juicy shrimp and minced pork that gives a light and chewy texture. The springy noodles are also accompanied with a homemade concoction of sambal belacan and pickled green chilli, which packs a sweet-sour punch.
Since its launch, The Butcher’s Kitchen’s homemade chips have been a hit amongst its patrons. Now, the restaurant has lightly drizzled the crunchy chips with whisky, giving it a smoky undertone. There is also the Whisky Steak, which calls for premium-quality black angus ribeye steak that is organic, free-range and grass-fed. The steak is aged for days, then infused with whisky before it is seared to perfection. The gorgeous marbling promises complex flavours and juiciness.
Other than the whisky series, the restaurant will also be launching other dishes. The Flaming Char Siew Noodles is another first of its kind in Singapore. A secret Chinese wine concoction has been added to the dish, which lends fragrance and creates a new depth of flavour. Torching the tender char siew, which is glazed with a sweet and savoury sauce, gives it a delicious, caramelised smoking finish.
