Cafe Hopping: Antoinette // The Nook // Swirl Art

17:00:00

Hi fellow readers,  Jthejon is back for more cafe reviews.
Recently I have been working a part time job for an photobooth event company. It is quite fun to work in this industry, I learn some new skills and I had met a good boss and colleague. I am enjoying what I work as now, maybe will find another part time barista job to work.

Let's start off with this week cafe hopping!

First stop, Antoinette.

Having a monthly catch up with candice at antoinette cafe.

Antoinette cafe is apparently the brainchild of a chef that used to work in the famous french fine dining restaurant called Les Amis (Top 5 in Singapore). The interior design of the cafe look elegant and classy.

Americano (6++) // The coffee was smooth and fragrant.

Viennoseries // It came along with my full breakfast set. The crossisant was good, other was good too.

Antoinette's Breakfast ($24++) // It served with choice of egg, grilled bacon, tomato, sausage,  pain de mie toast, and basket of viennoseries. The scrambled egg was good, it was fluffy and creamy. The toast was soft and fragrant.

Burger Royale ($24++) // It served with pan fried beef patty on brioche bread, mayonnaise,  homemade tomato relish,  plump tomato, lettuce,  red onions, mustard,  aged cheddar cheese, chips, and petit salad with house dressing. The beef patty was a bit dry and hard. The chips was crisp and good.

 Food: 3.75/5
Ambience: 4.75/5
Service: 3.5/5

The ambience was good, it was a good place to chill out with friends in the afternoon or spending some time along with book or laptop. The food here was great too although it was a bit pricey.  The service here was a bit slow, but overall I have a good experience here. I will be back again someday.

2nd stop, The Nook.

This was a very long overdue post. Came over to the Nook cafe with Cress, Rui, and Debs.

Nook is located in bukit timah, it is the first D.I.Y pancakes house in Singapore.  Their goal is to bring an interactive and fun pancake and brunch experience to everyone.

D.I.Y pancakes // 2 flavoured pancakes with 3 choice of toppings. Each set serves 2 pax.

Red velvet pancake // The pancakes was good, it was fluffy and soft . The velvet aroma was there.

Truffles Fries // The fries was disappointing. It tasted just like normal fries.

Food: 2.5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Service: 4/5

The food at the Nook cafe was just normal. It not really worth a visit if you guys just heading there for foods. But it worth a visit to have fun over making your own pancakes. The service was fast and efficient. Have a great time over here with my friends. Sorry that there are no price shown on this trip, cause I had forgotten how much was the total bill and it was a very long overdue post.

Last Stop of the week, Swirl Art Cafe.

Heading down to swirl Art Cafe with Oogii (She suggested) for dinner.

Swirl Art Cafe is located at river valley, it was the first in Singapore to offer a unique self service 100% fat free yogurt and a cafe all under one roof.

Yogurt machines.

Truffles Fries //  Average.

Chicken bites // It was crispy and yummy. It is a must to try.

Foie Gras // The foie gras was disappointing, the texture was a bit tough.

Seafood Linguine // It tasted awful. The pasta tasted so weird but the seafood was fresh. Not worth a try.

Yogurt // The yogurt was good, it was rich, smooth,  and creamy

Food: 2/5
Ambience: 3.5/5
Service: 4/5

The food over swirl Art Cafe was bad. I think they really need improve on their food, but the yogurt was good. I don't mind come back for their yogurt.  The service here was fast maybe cause it don't have much customers.
