Food Review: Go Local (Bak Kut Teh): Ya Hua x Song Fa x Founder

13:37:00

Hi my fellow readers. This week I am going to do something new. I will be doing a local food review . Will be targeting on "Bak Kut Teh" (肉骨茶).

There are three types of Bak Kut Teh in Singapore.

The most common variant is the teochew style, which is light in color but uses more pepper and garlic in the soup.

The Hokkien, who prefer saltier food, use more soy sauce resulting in a darker soup.

The Cantonese, with a soup-drinking culture, add medicinal herbs to create a stronger flavoured soup.

Let start off with this week first stop.

First Stop, Outram Park Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh.

Making a trip a down to Outram Park Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh with Eugene. We heard a lot of good reviews on ya hua bak Kut Teh, so we decided to make a trip down.
