Hi my fellow readers! For this post it will be all the overdue posts and all photos were taken by my Samsung galaxy S5 smartphone.

This post will be focused on japanese cuisine as you guys know I love japanese food a lot and I can eat japanese food everyday.

Let's start off with a trip to watami restaurant with my best friend O.

Watami restaurant currently has 8 branches in Singapore. It offers a wide variety of Japanese dishes and their set menus price are very reasonable. Watami restaurant also has few hundred of branches in Japan alone.

Onsen Tamago Caesar Salad // The onsen egg blended well with the salad. The dressing was good.

Ishiyaki Tontoro and Mentaiko Takana Goran // Pork cheek rice in stone pot. The pork cheek was great, the Mentaiko blended well with the pork cheek. The only minus point was the rice, I think the rice was too hard.

Kyushu Hakata Mizutaki // It was served with tofu, mushrooms,  carrot, lettuce,  vermicelli, chicken, and handmade minced chicken ball, in their special chicken soup. The soup was smooth and rich, their handmade minced chicken ball were average, nothing special about it.

Food: 3.25/5
Ambience: 3/5
Service: 2.5/5
Price: 3.5/5

The total bill was around $70++ including drinks.

The food was just average, it was not that great, the service over there was not up to standard,  maybe it was due to busy lunch crowds.

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos.

Next stop, a trip to tsubohachi restaurant at bugis+ with Amanda and my ex AXA boss.

Tsubohachi restaurant serves authentic modern fusion japanese cuisine. It is the first outlet in Singapore,  but in Japan it has total of 400 branches.

Okonomiyaki ($12.80++) // The egg was good, the sauce was good and it make the whole dish tastier.

Agedashi Tofu ($5.50++) // The tofu was well fried, the interior was soft and smooth. The sauce was too bland.

Maguro Nigirl ($6++ for 2 pieces), Salmon Nigirl ($4.80++ for 2 pieces),
Otoro Nigirl ($12 per pieces), Crouching Tiger Roll ($14.80++) / / The Nigirl was fresh and the tiger roll was good.

Zaru Soba ($8.80++) // Average.

Tonkatsu curry rice ($12.80++) // The curry was seperated. The pork cutlet was well fried, the meat was tender and juicy. And it was not too oily. The curry was not spicy enough, and it tasted below average.

Food: 3.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4.5/5
Price: 3.5/5

The food was good, love the ambience over here, it was so cozy and quiet. It a good place to have a meal over with family or friends. The service was good, fast and efficient.

Thanks Regina(ex aia boss) for the treat.

Next stop, a trip to osaka ohsho for their famous gyoza with O.

Osaka Ohsho which translated to "The king of Gyoza in osaka". It was founded in 1969, and now it has over 300 branches in Asia.

Menu photo was taken from osaka ohsho website.

Gyoza ($3.90++ for 6) ($7.80++ for 12) // The gyoza was well pan fried.  The meat was juicy and tasty. Do dip the gyoza into their own vinegar sauce.

Chicken Tenshin Han ($9.90++) // The thick chicken soup stock was too bland. But the steamed egg was well cooked, and the fried rice was nicely wrapped into the steamed egg. It was worth a try.

Chicken cutlet toji ($15.90++) // Disappointed with this dish. The chicken cutlet was overcooked, everything tasted bad in this dish.

Food: 3/5
Ambience: 2/5
Service: 2.5/5
Price: 3/5

My experience over at osaka ohsho restaurant was good. I will be back for their gyoza. Other than the gyoza, the food was just average. They should improve on their menu too.

That's all for this entry.
