First French Casual Dining Restaurant Chain Concept in Singapore. Poulét meaning chicken in French set its first debut at Bugis+ in July 2012. The restaurant is a modern French-themed bistro offering affordable French classics to the mass public. Diners will be able to view the chefs in action through an open kitchen while indulging in casual comfort.
Went to Kudeta restaurant to have a birthday dinner for Tammy. It is a good place for dinner as it has good ambience and serves good food.
Kudeta serves modern asian cuisine.
Spicy Salmon Salad (Left) // Served with salmon, tuna, whitefish, crab, light spicy ponzu, sesame seed. It tasted good and the ingredients was fresh.
Black Tiger Prawn Salad (Right) // Served with glass noodle, wakame, shishito. The prawn was fresh and juicy.
Panko-Coated Soft Shell Crab // Served with chilli & soy tenju dipping sauce. I don't really like this dish as the soft shell crab was slightly overcooked. The sauce was not that great too, tasted kinda weird.
Roasted Black Cod // Served with shishito, pickled red onions, lemon. The black cod was damn yummy,it was fresh and juicy. It melted in my mouth.
Seared Maguro Tuna Steak // Served with buckwheat, cucumber, tosaka, chive. The tuna steak was my favorite dish out of all. I highly recommends it.
Beef Tenderloin // Served with chilli red miso glaze, avocado tempura. The sauce was good and it was a good combination with the tenderloin.
Grilled Rack of Lamb // Served with pickled shimeji, pea shoot, walnut jus. The meat was juicy and tender. A well marinated lamb.
Wok-Charred Kai Lan // Served with truffled silver fish. The dish was just normal.
Warm Bitter Chocolate Cake // Served with soft milk chocolate, yuzu candy, coffee clotted cream. Tammy's birthday cake.
Lady Be Mine // Fruity cocktail, Grey Goose vodka, lychee, rose water.
Overall experience: 3.5/5
Foods: 4.5/5
Drinks: 4/5
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 2.5/5
The service was not up to standard.
French Fries ($4.80++) // Just normal fries, nothing special about it.
Gratin of Potato and Sweet Corn ($4.80++) // It was damn yummy. The potatoes was soft, smooth and grilled well. It is a must-eat when you come to Poulét.
Poulet Rosti ($28.80++ for whole chicken, $15.80++ for half chicken) // The signature dish in Poulét. The chicken is brined for the whole day and slow roasted till skin turns golden brown, and added with their home-made mushroom chardonnay sauce. The meat was soft and the sauce was great, it was a good combination.
