Cafe Reviews: Wild Honey // The Concetto by Saveur // Tiong Bahru Bakery

16:00:00

Hi everyone! It has been a shity month for me. Recently a lot of shit happened, i fall sick twice this month, laptop spoilt and etc. But it's ok cause this month is going to end. Oh and I survived the 3rd week as telemarketer.

Ok let's start off with dinner over at wild honey cafe with my two best friends that I met during my diploma course.

A dinner with Oogii before she flies off to Australia for exchange and before tammy flies back to her hometown. Won't be seeing them for awhile!! :(

Wild Honey cafe opened few years back and it turned out quite successful. It had 2 outlets in Singapore now. The first outlet is open at mandrain gallery, and the latest outlet was located at Scott Square. Wild Honey cafe served one of the best all day Breakfast in town.  Everyone should come here at least once.

English All Day Breakfast ($28++) // Wild Honey Signature Dish, the full works. It was served with Scrambled eggs, Cumberland pork sausage, sautéed mushrooms,  back bacon, breakfast potatoes, grilled vine ripened, dad's baked beans, and brioche. The sausage was good, the breakfast potatoes were crispy and soft as well. The only thing I don't like in this dish was dad's baked beans,  it tasted weird.

European ($20++) // Wild Honey Signature Dish, It was served with two perfectly poached eggs, sautéed mushrooms,  imported prosciutto,  and home made hollandaise sauce on brioche.  The brioche was fresh and tasty, the sauce was good. It was a perfect dish.

Spanish Hash ($24++) // It was served with two perfectly poached eggs, home made hollandaise sauce, potatoes, chorizo, and brioche. The portion was huge. It can be shared among 2 people.

Queen Bee ($9++) // It is mixed with ruby red grapefruit, elder flower, and honey. It was a refreshing drink.

Mandrain Wilderness ($++) // It is mixed with ice blended raspberry,  banana, mandrain, and honey. Tasted sweet and sour.

It is a good place to chill and relax with friends. The ambience was good, the service is fast and efficient,  and the price is quite reasonable.

Next stop Concetto by saveur cafe.
Went to have lunch with O.

Clams Pasta ($11.90+) // An disappointing dish. The herb smell was not strong, and the white wine was too much.

Prawn Aglio ($9.9+) // The aglio tasted like singapore's mee-pok. It lacked of garlic, chilli, and the portion is quite small.

The foods over here was really disappointing and the service was slow too. The waiter even served the wrong drink to us. The drink was not capture as we was too thirsty. Not recommended.

Last stop tiong bahru bakery cafe after lunch at concetto. Cause we were not full enough.

The pastry was really good. The highly raved croissant was really good. The exterior was perfectly baked, it was flaky and crisp. The interior was soft and fluffy.  The buttery fragrant was strong not like others.

Lemon tart is the next pastry I want to recommend.  The lemon tart was good. The exterior was crisp and soft. The lemon aroma was strong.

The coffee was aromatic and decent.  They offers a wide range of coffee and drinks that are in the drink chart.

The total bill was around $20 - $25.

The pastry over here is really good. I will be back again. It was a good place to chill over tea break. It started become crowed and noisy when it was past 7pm. The service was good, the staffs even recommended some items to us.

That's all for this week food post. Stay tuned for my next food post.

Thanks everyone for reading.
