Onkyo Unveils 5 New Models of High-Performance AV Receivers 
with Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® Features for

SINGAPORE, 27 MAY 2019 – Onkyo is continuing its mission to make home entertainment more immersive and ever more adaptable with the launch of five new products announced today. The Onkyo THX Select certified the 5.2-ch TX-SR393, the 7.2-ch TX-SR494, the 7.2-ch TX-NR696, the 9.2-ch TX-RZ740 and the 9.2-ch TX-RZ840 A/V Receivers. All of these models support Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® soundtracks to wrap viewers in a seamless 3D sound environment, bringing extraordinary flexibility to simplify next-generation home entertainment.


TX-SR393 5.2-Channel A/V Receiver

Premiere Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® sound at home with the TX-SR393. Choose a speaker layout to suit your room, from a space-saving 2.1-ch setup enhanced with 3D surround-sound courtesy Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer or DTS Virtual:X™ to a 3.2.2-ch system for native object-audio playback. Whatever way you play it, dynamic power is ready to thrill thanks to authentic high-current analog amps backed by a thumping custom transformer. For true-to-life video, the AVR supports 4K/60p and HDR video passthrough. If all this tech sounds scary, relax: every aspect of this product is designed to erase frustration, from the automated AccuEQ system calibration to quick connection guide. The receiver integrates your players and TV and adds practical features such as Vocal Enhancer for clear dialog. There’s even a Zone B line-out to distribute all your home theater sources to a component with an analog RCA line in, such as a wireless headphone dock or hi-fi system. TX-SR494 7.2-Channel A/V Receiver
Escape the everyday with spatial surround-sound
From easy Bluetooth® wireless streaming to the heart-pounding thrills of Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® soundtracks, the TX-SR494 deepens enjoyment of daily life with great sound and smart features. Seven channels of high-current power give you freedom to choose a speaker layout that suits. Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer* or DTS Virtual:X™ place sound overhead or behind if you don’t want height or surround speakers and both Dolby Surround® and DTS® Neural:X are on board. Rear surrounds, bi-amped front speakers, or Powered Zone B audio are also an option. AccuEQ with subwoofer EQ and AccuReflex™ for 5.2.2-ch Dolby Atmos-enabled systems clarify sound in any space. As the heart of your home theater, the TX-SR494 has HDMI® terminals supporting HDR and 4K/60p video, while the GUI with OSD over HDMI, Zone B pre-/line-out, and Vocal Enhancer function make this receiver a joy to use as well as hear.

TX-NR696 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver

Next-Generation Network Audio gathers multi-room platforms supported by 802.11ac Wi-Fi®, or enjoy powered and unpowered audio distribution. The receiver, which supports up to 7.2.4-ch of 3D sound with external amp, is certified for IMAX® Enhanced and is THX® Certified Select™ for a cinema-reference experience.
