The braised duck is usually cooked with yam and shrimps; it can be served simply with plain white rice and a thick dark sauce; side dishes of braised hard-boiled eggs, preserved salted vegetables, or hard beancurd may be added. In addition, Teochew boneless duck rice is a similar, but a more refined dish; due to the slightly tougher texture of duck, the duck is artfully deboned and sliced thinly for the convenience and ease of the diner, allowing the sauces to seep into the meat, making it a more pleasant experience.
Roasted Duck is usually roasted and topped up with gooey thick and savoury sauce. Or it can be cooked in herbal style.
I know not all Singaporean love duck meat as the duck meat tend to be tough or the people can't stand the smell of it.
But for the duck meat lover, i will be listing down my top list of best duck rice stalls in Singapore!

The number 1 place to go for braised duck rice! Every Singaporean top favourite braised duck rice stall. The duck was de-boned, it was super tender and moist too. You can hardly find a duck rice stalls that sell a super tender duck meat. The braised sauce was gooey, thick and aromatic. It was full herbs and spies aroma. Best to go with few bowl of rices.

2. Ah Seng Braised Duck Rice 亚盛卤鸭饭.

The having this duck rice since i was young. Earlier days, the hawker centre was quite dirty and hot, but after the renovation the hawker became clean and more cooling with more fans was installed. This duck rice is located at serangoon garden market and hawker.
The duck was tender and savoury. The braised sauce was different from other as their braised sauce was watery and very savoury. But it was full of herbs and spies aroma. Best to go with a bowl of white rice, but i am recommend you guys to try their yam rice as it was fragrance and goes very well with this braised sauce.

3. Zuo Ji Duck Rice 作记鸭饭.

The most thick and sticky duck rice. If you order a plate of duck rice, you will get your duck rice topped up with full of sticky sauce but it was good. Trust me, although it was very saucy but it was good, and you will ask for more sauce. The duck meat has fully adsorbed the strong flavor of the braised sauce and making it more delicious.

By now, i am sure every has heard about Foong kee coffee shop. It;s located at keong saik road, it's nearby chinatown, tanjong pagar and it's in outram park. They are famous for their char siew but their roated duck meat was good too. The roasted duck juicy and succulent. The skin was super savoury and sinful. But it definitely worth the calories.

2. Kaylee Roasted Meat Joint.
Kaylee roasted meat joint was so famous after they sold their recipe for S$4 Million Dollar. They are very famous for their savoury char siew and the roasted pork belly. But their roasted duck meat wasn't that bad too. The roasted duck meat was tender, juicy and succulent.The skin is the best part as it was savoury, crispy and addictive.

3. Dian Xiao Er.

Everyone know Dian Xiao Er is famous for their herbal roasted duck. The duck meat was tender, moist and aromatic, which the duck meat has fully adsorbed the herbs and spies from the gravy. The skin retain a slightly crisp crunch, a tinge of salty and strong savoury flavor. The gravy was aromatic and drinkable, it's good for health too as it contain lots of herbals in it.
